Henry Lucas
The St. Louis realtor who, believing that baseball players were being unjustly treated by National League owners and their "reserve clause," formed the Union Association in 1884.
Fred Lynn
(1974-90)
In an illustrious major league career, Lynn hit 306 homers, had a career .283 average, and was named to the All-Star team nine times. But he is probably best remembered as the player who hit the only grand slam homer in the history of the All-Star game (1983). In 1975 he became the only player ever to win AL Rookie of the Year and AL MVP honors.
